Join us for a screening of two MacGillivray Freeman films: Cities of the Future and Speed followed by a panel discussion.
Cities of the Future
Cities of the Future invites you to step into the future and discover the exciting innovations engineers are working on right now to help meet the challenges of a changing world. Renewable energy will be our primary power source, solar energy beamed down from space will power entire cities, smart buildings and greener infrastructure will keep us cool, and we will travel in individualized pods on maglev trains that use little or no energy. We will also ride on aerial highways in electric flying vehicles! Traffic jams will be a thing of the past. This isn’t science fiction. This is the world engineers are designing right now. Travel to some of the world’s greatest cities—from Amsterdam to Los Angeles to Singapore and more—where profound change is already happening and meet the engineers and visionaries whose human ingenuity is forging a brighter, more sustainable future for us all.
Narrated by critically acclaimed actor John Krasinski, Cities of the Future is produced by MacGillivray Freeman Films in partnership with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the same award-winning team that created the blockbuster film Dream Big: Engineering Our World.

Speed
Experience the thrill of Speed, a giant-screen journey through humanity’s fascination with going faster—from the dawn of time to the farthest reaches of the imaginable future. Meet daredevils, racers, test pilots and astronauts who push the limits of human capability, while Albert Einstein’s visionary ideas about traveling at the speed of light guide this exhilarating exploration. Adding to the experience, Speed features a groundbreaking “sonic boom” soundtrack designed to produce powerful low-frequency vibrations you can actually feel. Don’t miss the chance to experience Speed the way it was meant to be seen—and felt—on the big screen!
